In movies and books, a skirt is a female who serves as a romantic or sexual object to a straight male, usually to the protagonist, member of an ensemble cast, or the audience.
While Deanna Troi served as the skirt in TNG, she is a much more complex character.

The Skirts is a term referring to a group of religious females who believe that pants are for men and anything above the knee is an invitation for rape. Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Mennonites and Fundamental Baptist are the most common culprits of wearing these long “skirtism”.
