They're like uh...drifters. Telling stories to whoever they can

Boy: Grandpa! What are those carving symbols?

Grandpa: You see here son, these be hobo signs! This here sign means, there's work for cornbread 2 blocks up.

No HoBo

It is similar to the popular phrase, no homo, in the sense that No HoBo is a defensive-response mechanism. This means that No HoBo can clear ones own slate of any susceptible homeless-like qualities that has previously been placed on trial before your respective peers.

Adequate Times To Utilize No HoBo:
1. When you asks for money, food, or in a rare case clothing.
2. When you bother a cashier at a place of business to supply you with an item for free.
3. When you abuse the kindness of others as a means to get by in life, while barely presenting (if presenting at all) an equivalent exchange.

Caution : USE WISELY AND SPARINGLY, "NO HOBO" CANNOT SAVE YOU EVERYTIME WITH EVERYBODY.

Guy: what up, man.
Guy 2: nothing much, just trying to get by. If i dont make this payment on my car, its gonna get repossessed. Then I won't have a way to work and get fired and lose my house and be out on the street and probably start sucking dick to get money...No Homo

Guy: yea i feel you, i feel you....you think i can borrow $117, No HoBo
Guy 2: Alright man i got you, just get it back to me before i hit the unemployment office

No Hobo

A phase used to tell Hobo's you disinterest in giving them; money, cigarettes, or drugs.

Blake and Robby were walking Downtown on Main Street by Barringer Bar, a hobo asked them for a cigarette, to which Blake replied "No Hobo" and nonchalantly walked off.

Can also be used to bum cigarettes from your friends, simply ask for the cigarette and then exclaim "No Hobo".

hoboe

n. An instrument generally featured in an orchestra that travels because its members do not maintain permanent addresses. Known for its many variations, this woodwind may be constructed of cardboard, cans, duct tape, soda bottles, newspaper, or any combination thereof. The key criterion is whether or not its tone is successful in separating passersby from extraneous coinage.

"There was a fine hoboe soloist on the corner of 83rd and 2nd last night."

Hobo

A hobo is someone without a house or a job. They will work, though. You most commonly hear of hobos living in boxes, but some hobos live in homeless shelters. in the old days, you hear of hobos hiding on trains. that doesn't happen very often anymore. hobos often stand outside with signs that say "need food" or "homeless anything will help".

I have $5 and i can either spend it on a tasty sandwich, or give it to that hobo. hm, i think i'll give it to that hobo.
