Theoretically all major nations except the united states use the metric system. In practice, all nations including the united states use a mixture of the metric system and older units.
Scientists generally use the metric system almost exclusively, but the average man on the street still finds it a bit abstract.

Related to the Metric Fuckton, Which is greater than a Metric Megaton, but not as great as a Metric MegaFuckton. Ultimately all of these terms apply to a lot of unwanted or unliked things or events.

A very large quantity in an unusual number or configuration (otherwise it would be an ordinary/English buttload). Compare: metric shitload and metric fuckton, which both designate a very large, but expected, quantity.
