Neopets Used to be cool 3 years ago in 2001. Now, in 2004, it is horrible.
You can't buy anything from the main shops, because they put too few items out at a time, and too many users grab them before you can even begin to haggle. The shops are almost always empty. The restock times are random, and not every 8 minutes like they claim, but more often once an hour or LESS.
New players can't hope to make enough neopoints to enjoy playing or afford anything good, and if anyone discovers a way to make neopoints the staff will destroy it, as they feel no one should be able to have a lot of neopoints.
The wars are pointless, and pet gets sick after one battle and can't fight in the battledome anymore when sick. The cures are too expensive, except the healing springs, so you have to wait half an hour to even try to heal.
Lastly, you are supposed to have a virtual pet, but in fact you don't get to do anything with them except paint them or battle, and only the rich in Neopoints can afford to pay to make their pets stronger. You can not gain skills or get anything by using your neopet, so the game is now mostly just frustrating and pointless. Go play runescape instead, it is a fun game you can actually play.

known bug- if you block the opponent from moving, and only you can move, you win right? WRONG! The game ends, doesn't tell you who won, and the opponent who can't move wins. Neopets will not fix this and will not reply to users. They have a screw you attitude for players, and obviously hate everything but making money from sponsors and merchandise, they have become evil. They make games you can't win, but they don't tell you they are rigged. Latest example: Test your strength. The jackpot is supposedly Jackpot : 190,583,500 NP, but in fact no bank account can hold over 40 million, so it is not possible to win. But every day thousands try, not knowing they are just wasting thier NP on something they can't win. Do you want your children playing on a site that does this? Neopets needs competition from a user-responsive site that actually makes playing fun and rewarding.

A rubbish little site in which people go to make 'friends' and have 'fun'.
People cry over pixels (with rubbish name like 'neoneo27913263210neo2004' saying they lost them in the pound (by the way you can't lose them, you put them there) and they post messages saying stuff like 'did you lose a maraquan lupe in the pound?'. Yeah.

Created in 1999, Neopets is a never-ending online game, in which you take care of pets, buy/sell/trade items, earn NP through games/auctions/shops, and chat on the messageboards. It used to be a fun way to kill time, but now the Neopets Team is too obsessed with putting their Neopets brand out there with annoying merchandise and promotions at stores no one in the world knows the locations of. Neopets is dying a slow, painful death because the Neopets Team is too busy sitting in front of their computers all day and night, eating pizza and doughnuts, and randomly freezing people's accounts for no apparent reason. Plus, they don't even put out New Features relevant to the average user anymore.

A fun waste of time. The birth-place of lazyness. People get fat on this website, We sit there for hours each day doing thing with pixels. Pathetic, in my own opinion, even though I play the bloody thing. Pathetic but fun, and highly addictive.
The owners are wankers, fat wankers. They seem to only care about their sponsors and not about their users. The website is a grave-yard of social lives... If you start playing you become lifeless... I don't think i'll ever stop playing, I am too addicted..
So the message is:
Play neopets and become fat, lifeless and boring. Or don't, be thin, easy to talk to and your friends wont call you a geek.

Anybody who says neopets suck... I AGREE WITH YA! A once opon a time cool site that has turned horridable(horrible)! It's a site that stole EVERYTHING in it from somewhere else... The pets, games, character(like the fairies), the list goes on...
Their soooooooooo strick on what you type on boards, that you can't have any fun... They'll block "bad" but not "hell" :/
Oh, I've also heard that you can't upload images from your desktop or any file except form the internet. It's EXTREMELY childish, though if you notice, it's a site for teenagers mostly.
Often times you can't post something because it says it's "bad", but there's nothing in it that's actually bad.
I can't tell you everything that's sucks on neopets, but I can tell you that there's a lot.
anybody who actually likes neopets, is either 5 or 6... Or needs a life BIG TIME!

1: (neeopets) N. A computer game at www.neopets.com. An unfair but often fun site. The game consists of taking care of pets ( a rare few actually do) and making money. Mostly the latter. Very difficult to make money, as the NT (Neopets Team) sees this as hacking, scamming, or basically anything except the work you put into it.Oddly addictive and kind of scary when you remember things from about 5 years ago. Breeding ground to haters, people who think they are immortal, cyber-ers, and the occasional normal person. Most players are older than you would think and some Grandmothers are known to be on the site. Nifty if you don't have anything better to do.
2: (neeopets) N. Fake animals that live in Neopia on the site. Don't be fooled, they do get sick, but even though it says they're dying...they're not.
