Well, there you go!

Used to informally end a conversation that one finds uninteresting. It's politely used to feign enthusiasm about a subject in a one-sided conversation. When given the opportunity to respond, the phrase serves as closure to the topic in a neutral, non-committal way.

Woman 1: (Endess prattling about her son's hockey quarter-final playoff victory)... "And now they get a week off before the next game!"

Woman 2: (Stuck behind a retail counter) "Well, there you go!"

Once you go black you never go back

Hopefully you don't base a decision on whether you're attracted to somebody on what they look like on the surface alone. It's a little bit weird to date only people who don't look like you because they don't look like you and for no other reason.

Dewey Cox's first wife- You can't be married to more than one person at the same time Dewey, neither can I, that's why I'm with Leroy now. Once you go black you never go back.
Dewey Cox- (to Edith) Edith wait! (to Darlene) It's okay, she's gone now, and she ain't coming back. This will make everybody involved happier I think.

Let you go

~ Compulsory Redundancy

Sometimes alternative to "You're fired!", "You're sacked!"

Some would say it's a nicer more civil way of saying it. But really it's only of benefit to the person saying it.

Manager: Look Bill I've done everything I can but they just won't change their minds...

...I'm afraid we're going to have to let you go.

Bill: You mean I'm fired?

Manager: Oh dear no! Thats not what I said...

...but yes, you will no longer work for us.
