A POP PUNK band, not emo, not punk, not rock and for christs sakes not metal. everyone says that thy are this great emo band, they are pop punk plain and simple, i used to love mcr but then after realising that everyone loved them i hated them.
people think now a days that if you dont listen to mcr you can't be an emo or whatever.

thats what all these posers think now a days, you cant be classed as an emo uness you like MCR, FoB or one of these other little stereotypical bands. since evryone likes mcr now after they made teenagers -.- its hard to tell who is a real fan or not
real fans are people who actually listen to thier music and take it in, poser fans are just epople who run around shouting:

A person who loves the band for the music. It is someone who lives for the lyrics and the amazing instrumentals of My Chem. They are usually labeled 'emo kid' or 'poser' right off the bat because of their liking of the band. Although there are MCR posers, true fans are in it for the music and the feeling that My Chemical Romance gives them.
My Chemical Romance fan 1: I can't wait for the My Chem concert on Friday!
MCR poser 1: I know! God Gerard got ugly though. He's blond and he isn't even emo anymore.

My Chemical Romance Fans...its a complete unit. An army. MCR have a completely unique sound & perspective compared to most of the bands in the whole rock 'scene' today. One which CANNOT be denied. MCR are there to make a difference. For the true fans, the kids that are just like them, instead of fame & money - FACT. Yes some of the 'fans' are posers. But the ones that matter are in it for MCR. Nothing more. Nothing less. Because MCR saved our lives. Truly.

I have many friends who love MCR and who hate MCR, but we don't judge each other. We are just a bunch of kids who love to laugh and have a good time. Before you judge a kid who likes MCR you should try to talk to those kids first they may be the best friend you ever had.
This happened to me at school one day.
opposer: **points at shirt** "MCR sucks."
My Chemical Romance fan: "and?"
opposer: "just wanted you to know."
