A college that puts all of its emphasis on its Division 1 sports teams, when in fact those teams never actually win their respective championships. Due to all of the money put towards its lavish Division 1 sports program, Boston College not only takes applicants who have so much money that the $45,000+ tuition is paid just with a family bank account's interest, but usually gives those applicants generous scholarships, all because there is more of a chance hefty "donations" will be made to the school in the future.
Michael Smith: I have better credentials than you in everything: GPA, sports, clubs, and SAT scores...I didn't get into Boston College, yet you not only got accepted but received a sholarship as well?
Jonathan Livingston III: Yeah. I guess being smart and working hard doesn't mean shit to BC, as long as you have wealthy parents as well as 10 brothers and sisters, all offshoots of that ever-desirable richness.

NYU and BC rejects. Both schools have much lower acceptance rates than BU, are recognized as more prestigious, and get more individual persons into good graduate programs, which is sad since BC is a fraction of the size of BU. Recognized nationally in sciences and math as much less prestitious and difficult than Harvard, MIT, Tufts, and BC.
The Wall Street Journal ranks numerous schools-- sometimes schools with less than 10% of BU's student body-- higher than Boston University in terms of ability to get kids into good medical, law, and graduate programs. See Wall Street Journal Feeder school rankings.

A wannabe school for people who got rejected from Notre Dame, to go to that is worse than Notre Dame in every aspect.
Damn I did not get into Notre Dame, i got a 1300 on the SATs. Wow I got into BC however.
