An imaginary store like a Goodwill where hand-me-down items can be bought so for so cheap, it's like the proprietor of the business is giving the stuff away. The phrase is used by school kids in L.A. to make fun of the possessions of poorer students, who may wear used or non name brand clothing and shoes. This may be attributed to parents who could not afford to buy nice shoes and/or apparel for their children.
Nice rags, did Poncho's Give-Away have a half-off sale today?

Def - Don't-give-a-fuckism is a state of apathy or indifference, whether permanent or temporary, in which a person chooses to ignore events going on around them. Stress is caused by attachment (giving a fuck) and can be relieved by detachment (not giving a fuck). Not giving a fuck can signifcantly improve quality of life by removing human issues connected with attachment (i.e. caring, worry, stress and giving a fuck). Not giving a fuck disconnects or detatches the individual from these issues and forces the person to concentrate on the things that make them happy rather than worrying about things that are out of their control and thereby improving quality of life (QOL); Variations: Don't-give-a-rat's-ass-ism,Don't-give-two-squirts-of-hot-steaming-piss-ism, Can't-be-arsed-ism.
1st person: "Hey, the boss saw you come in late again today. You're in deep shit man!" 2nd person: "So what, I don't give a fuck! I subscribe to ethos of don't-give-a-fuckism so it don't bother me. Whatever!"

a simple quasi-folkish tune written and recorded in a hotel room (during a "bed-in" for peace) in the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada in the late 60s. John Lennon of the Beatles and his new bride Yoko Ono were there on their honeymoon and they wrote, performed and recorded the song in that room, along with some special guests singing the chorus chant. This song has become an antiwar anthem and since then has been played and chanted at numerous anti-Vietnam War rallies and at rallies opposing wars thereafter.
At the Ohio State University Oval in January 1991 I saw an antiwar demonstration against the first Gulf War (first war against Iraq). The rally organizers played many rock'n'roll antiwar songs, including "War" by Bruce Springsteen and "Give Peace A Chance". People kept on chanting, "all we are saying, is Give Peace a Chance".
