Also known as the Reddit kid, band kids are defined by an obsession with Reddit, Pewdiepie, and gaming (particularly PC gaming and Nintendo switch), strange and awkward mannerisms, and a tendency to make weird poses, talk fast, and regurgitate old memes. They tend to also like anime and anime-related things (such as Pokemon games), and likely have an anime profile picture on their social networking accounts. Band kids are likely active on Discord and are often moderators on there and/or Reddit. They frequent r/pewdiepiesubmissions and r/dankmemes, and look down on those who use Instagram and TikTok as “normies.” This culture is common amongst kids in high school marching band (hence the name) but it is not limited to them. Band kid/Reddit kid culture may overlap with weeb culture and neckbeard culture, and is prominent amongst individuals beyond high school age. Think of the band kid as the neckbeard when they were in high school. Everyone knows at least 4 of these kids from high school.

Everyone has this definition for indie kids and how we dress, but no, you have NO IDEA. So here's the real fucking definition.
Indie kids listen to indie music. That's it. We don't all have wavy hair, or dress like we don't give a shit. We're not all elitist and we're not all artsy types. We're DIFFERENT. We're INDEPENDENT. It's about the music, not the clothes. Some couldn't care less, some put some time into it. Doesn't matter.
Non-indie: How do I look like an indie kid?
Indie: You don't.
Non-indie: So how do you know I'm an indie kid?
Indie: You don't.

Pretty much an Old School kid, who listens to varieties of music from old age-new age. Someone who keeps it real. Tends to be stuck in the 90s' typically in their early 20s and have yet to adapt to futuristic noise.
I'm a throwback kid, I was born in the 90's and I'm going to embrace the fact that's my generation.
Usually dressed grunge depending on the era their mocking.

The kid in the class who remains silent thru out the whole day. If you see them in lunch they are usually by them selves or, with just one other person. If they vanished one day a lot of students won't even notice, even some of the teachers. The only people who would for a fact notice would be their friends. When you actually get to know them, you might discover that they have many unique talents. They tend to keep a low profile by never starting a conversation first they wait until someone has asked them something. They hardly ever say anything else unless it is to answer a question. The silent kid should be respected, because you have no clue what there life is like outside of school. or why they are silent.
Person 1: Has is that a new kid or something? I just now noticed him.
Person 2: Nah he's always been there he just tends to be a silent kid.
