Rural Australian slang for

To be not busy.
As a visual metaphor, it implies the opposite to the expression ‘flat out’. A lizard drinking is visually flat against the ground, still, stationary, prostrate, prone and apparently inactive - the opposite of what a person is like when they are busy.
The primary definition that I heard for years amongst colleagues and friends fluent in Strine was the 'not busy' version. It was only recently that I have heard it used to mean 'hard at work' or 'busy'. It feels that the traditional components of visual metaphor and humour in the Strine lexicon have been lost or the expression misconstrued at some point.
Flat out like a lizard drinking -
"Man it's quiet here. You busy?"
“Busy? Flat out… like a lizard drinking… hehehe.”

Lizard Brain is a term used to describe when a person (typically a man) loses all ability to think straight, due to being horny. When a man has lizard brain, he is thinking with his penis not his brain.
Lizard brain from the male point of view:
Her: “Oh my gosh, stop grabbing my ass! I am trying to get stuff done.”
Him: “ I can’t help it! You’re too sexy… my lizard brain took over.”
Lizard brain from the female point of view:
Her: “I’m telling you girl, he has a lizard brain! He can’t even have a conversation with me without getting distracted by my cleavage.”
Relevant to multi tasking, menial or as a distraction.
I don't want to play elden ring. like mostly everything, seems to be a task to allocate to the lizard brain whilst astrally projecting and out genicyding in some form even if terrorising the occupant of a place you're angling to buy or trying to hasten your inheritance from that rich uncle.
