gas-station

To use a space, usually a bathroom in such a way as to evoke the most unpleasant yet common uses of a public restroom, particularly one in a gas-station. To leave traces of urine, feces, discarded press-on nails, feminine products, prophylactics or other human effluence and trash improperly and unsanitarily disposed of in a shared public space which should be clean for everyone's safety and comfort.

"Don't use the front bathroom, somebody decided to gas-station it." "Dude gas-station -ed his ex-wife's bathroom and tried to get the babysitter to clean it for no additional money, what a jerk." "You may use my bathroom, but don't you dare gas-station it!

Gas Station

A person you use to gas you up for a short amount of time so you can gain confidence to go to someone hotter, better, and cooler. Basically someone you ghost after they make you feel better about yourself.

Person 1: Hey, Emma, you make me feel really good about myself. Thanks for all the compliments.

Emma (Gas station): You’re welcome, would you still wanna go on that date next week ?

Person 1: Nah, you’re not my type, but thank you for gassing me up *hangs up pump and leaves gas station (Emma)

Switching stations

To switch stations simply means to go from one language to next during your interaction with another speaker who may also be bi or multilingual. People "switch stations" to add a bit of context on the subject matter or topic they're talking about so that the listener can fully comprehend the speaker. The speaker also does this as a way to relate to their listener(s) and make them feel connected. The phrase/term originally derived from the multitude of radio and TV stations, in South Africa, that are being broadcasted in different tongues/languages for specific listeners/viewers to read. So if you change from one station to the next, you would hear the new speaker on your telly or radio speak in a different tongue than the predecessor from the other station.

Speaker #1: Sawubona bhuti. Igama lami nguSphiwe and what is your name?

Speaker #2: Yebo, sawubona Sphiwe. I'm Trevor.

Speaker #1: Oh, okay. Ngiyajabula ukukwazi Trevor.

Speaker #2: 😅 Yebo. Nice to meet you too, Sphiwe.

(Example of two speakers switching stations between each other)
