terrible music written by british people with man buns, whiny over-ennunciated london accents and jazzmaster guitars. They all think their music makes them different, but it is this very attitude that makes modern indie all sound like superfluous samey drivel. The fact that this stuff is labelled as rock is depressing enough in itself.

People usually associate Indie Kids with Hipsters and Scene Kids, but they're pretty different.
Indie Kids enjoy music put out by alternative rock bands and bands/artists who aren't signed to a major record label/no label at all. These can include bands such as: Bloc Party, Muse, Coldplay, Nirvana, Radiohead, Fleet Foxes, Franz Ferdinand, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, The Cure, The Black Keys and The Maccabees.
They also enjoy artwork similar to what you'd find on their
favourite band's album covers.
Their clothing can be described as vintage, old fashioned, messy and sometimes just, plain.
Indie Boys have woopy or curly/messy hair. They're usually are seen wearing band t-shirts or plain shirts and t-shirts. They also wear loose, black or blue denim jeans and converse/white Lonsdale trainers. The might also wear hats like Pete Doherty of The Libertines/Babyshambles.
Indie Girls usually have with long, wavy hair often wearing some form of headband. They are usually seen wearing either: loose t-shirts and waistcoats, baggy woolly jumpers or baggy crop tops with band logos or flamboyant patterns on them.
Indie boys are often seen as being shy and quiet.
Indie girls are often seen as shy at times, yet energetic at times.
Indie Girl-"Rawr! I'm a dinosaur :P"

Person B-Yes. They were just talking about Kasabian and Foo Fighters

An indie snob is not like a hipster. They'll listen to an indie pop band, but any other form of pop is a no no. They particularly hate on Dance music. This is offensive to the average person because dance music is a big part of pop culture today. They like getting under people's skin, especially Lady Gaga fans, and tell them that their artist make manufactured pop music. An indie snob hates all pop music, and loves all indie music. They'll usually have 100+ indie bands on their iPods, and download each and every song the bands have made. If your friend ever becomes an indie snob, avoid talking to him about music.
John: How can you listen to that pop music. It's so manufactured and processed.
Chris: Then what should I listen to? Indie Snob....
John: ........You just listen to way too much pop music.
Chris: Yeah, and you listen to way too much shitty music.
John: Well at least it's not fake!

Indie music is god-awful music. the bands seem to think that being popular is bad. boring riffs, boring, drums, no bass, and really bad singers. this music is straight bad. the bands always have to have obnoxious names that start with "the" and then 3 unrelated words. oh and concerts are "shows".
Indie fan-"hey i heard The unborn trash machine" is going to have a show, but i prefer "the kingdom of toxcity" and "the hairy gumperts" are good too. they are the epitome of indie music.
Indie fan 2-"aww man "the plural nouns" are really good compared to "the running away" but "the many horses" are fantastic. "the of montreal" is great.
Metalhead- "FUCK YOUR SHIT, FUCKING CRYPTOPSY, INDIE MUSIC SUCKS BALL SACKS"

what do they do: (brit indies) they usally hang around portabella road, sheperdsboosh market ect boys playing guitar (NOT ELECTRIC OR BASS) chilling out being cool
indie boys:indie boys usally have mop hair where there fringe grows to the side they where skinny or straight leg jeans with t shrits or long slaved tight tops with undone shirts
always in battered convers or vanhs

girls- indie girls can be very relaxed about there style often looking for vintage clothing from any era from charity shops or other and make it there own they where big geeky glasses(before gansters made them uncool) and high wasted skirts or skinny jeans.
