I thought this was a classy party

The phrase “I thought this was a classy party”, popularized on X from a video recording from The Real Housewives of Orange County, is an expression of surprise or disappointment, indicating that the speaker expected the event to be sophisticated or elegant, but has found aspects of it to be inappropriate or lacking in refinement.

Pronunciation:
/aɪ θɔ t ðɪs wəz ə ˈklæsi ˈpɑ rti/

Guest 1: (surprised) “What’s going on with the karaoke machine?”

Guest 2: (frustrated) “I know, right? I thought this was a classy party.”

Penny for your thoughts

When you get blackout drunk and end the night with a spectacular performance of Irish Yoga unbeknownst to you with your face firmly pressed against a shinny copper penny. Then proceed to present to work the next morning with said shiny copper penny still adhered to your massively hung over forehead.

April - Hey Caleb can I give you a penny for your thoughts?

Caleb - sure whats up?

April - never mind I see you already have one.

homework thoughts

Similar to shower thoughts, homework thoughts are random ideas that occur when put in a particular state of thinking via a certain condition. A bored student who's supposed to be doing his/her homework has these thoughts after at least 10 minutes of work and a lingering onset of boredom.

"I was doing my homework yesterday, and my foot went numb because I was sitting on it. Then, I realized that people with foot fetishes can do that and then pretend they're playing with someone else's feet!"

"Dude, that's a pretty awesome homework thought."

"Yeah man! Then, I went online to talk about it and procrastinate and realized I had to include the word being defined itself in the example sentences because Urban Dictionary is annoying. homework thoughts"
