A slang term for the mid-atlantic region of the USA consisting of the DC, MD, VA states/area. Principle cities of the region include Washington DC, Baltimore, Richmond, Norfolk/757 area of Virginia. Term is popular with some hip hop artists in the region. Some slang and parts of accent are used throughout the majority of the region despite general differences in speech.
Examples include the uses of the word carry (curry) meaning to disrespect, wellin' (whalin') meaning lying. Also pronunciations of the ur sound in certain words such as Murrland (Maryland), urea (area), murry (marry), necessury (necessary).
"I sound southern to people from NYC, and northern to people from ATL, I'm from the middle east (coast)".
"We are like the top of the south, and the bottom of the north. We are the middle east".

Bentleigh East is one of the ghetto neighbourhoods in the south east of melbourne. Bentleigh as a whole, is a shithole that is full of drug dealers, criminals and dole bludgers. This particular part of Melbourne is known for its drive by shootings, theft and bashings. Bentleigh East is full of drug dealers that aren't shy to show off their shanks when talked to. Its full of bogans, lads and sluts that are hustling tryna turn nothing into something. The streets are usually torn up by dirt bikes and can be heard during the day and late at night. located on the south east side, this suburb is full of gang members of such gangs as "Apex" "GTKS" and "South East Kings" which love to cause trouble and sell drugs. Walking through Bentleigh isnt such a good idea, especially at night time, you are most likely to be confronted by stoners, lads and criminals. You wouldnt dare to open your mouth or raise your eyes unless you wanted to punch on with someone, which someone will most likely end up getting stabbed.

East Atlanta or "The Village" is a neighbourhood located south of Memorial Drive along Flat Shoals Road in Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly a victim of urban blight, in recent years it has transformed itself from its former existence into a trendy urban neighbourhood that is known along with Poncey-Highland as the mecca of hipsterdom for the entire Southeast. Highlights include Feed Your Head, a record store that is known for being open into the wee hours; the Sopo Bike Co-Op, where hundreds of friendly hipsters can help you fix your bike; and The Earl, a bar and concert venue with a massive mural for Pabst Blue Ribbon painted on the brick wall outside.
