2. Used as an insult, being referred to as bad. Usually used by a homophobe, however many nonhomophobic people have come to use this term as well.

The definition of gay is being a homosexual. Still used as an insult in modern day. People of our generation still do not understand that being gay does not mean that you are gross and stuff, it means that you love somebody of the different gender. It's just much harder for others to grasp this information.
