An area south of Auckland City in New Zealand, most commonly referring to the grouping of areas Onehunga, Mangere, Otahuhu, Papatoetoe, Otara, Manukau, Manurewa, Takanini and Papakura.
It's population consists mainly of Maori/Polynesians, followed by Asians and Europeans.
A largely impoverished area due to the lack of quality education and abundance of low paying/low skill labour.
South Auckland is often looked down upon by outsiders, often sighted as being 'Violent, Poor and Crime-ridden'. This image is often perpetuated by Media outlets as whenever a crime would occur, media outlets would use the term 'South Auckland' to describe the area the crime was committed instead of the specific area/suburb that the crime took place.
Although there may be some truth to what is said negatively about South Auckland, what is often overlooked is the thriving culture that presides there. The culture of South Auckland is largely inspired traditional Maori/Polynesian culture, as well as African American culture in America. This is largely due to the influence that the Black Panther movement, and subsequently the Polynesian Panther Movement, had on young Maori and Polynesians in the 1970's.
In recent years, many denizens of 'South Auckland' proudly proclaim where they are from despite the unfortunate stereotypes and negative connotations that have been associated with the area for the past 50 years.
Person A: "Sup bro? Where you from?"
Person B: "I'm from South Auckland."

the jappy part of merrick with all the jewish rich kids. all the girls wear are sam jackets and david yurman rings while all the boys wear yeezys and bathing ape. the north merrick kids tease them about being rich but they all know their jealous. they also all go to expensive sleep away camps

A place in New Jersey, where there are a lot of fake people, and a whole bunch of people who will say they're there for you, when they won't be there at all. DO NOT trust anyone in South Brunswick, especially the bitches who think they're all that.

The North-Shore version of The Hamptons situated on the Great Peconic Bay of New York's Long Island. Known for it's exclusive private drives right on the water and Duffy's Deli. During the winter, it's pretty much dead; but during the summer all the smart upper middle-class New Yorker's flock here in half the time it takes to reach The (overrated) Hamptons. Known as "out east" by those who are lucky enough to get a summer rental or actually own a house there.
Tanger Outlet Mall is fifteen minutes away, and the late-night summer parties on the beach last until the end of August. During the day, you can lay on a sun-drenched private beach or play volleyball on an equally less crowded town beach.
Overall, it's a friendly summer colony where the new breed of inner Long Island's wealth is calling home from late June to early September, and for a good reason.

Skateland South is a roller skating rink located in Springfield Illinois. Public skating sessions are on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Skateland South is also available for private paties.
I skated at Skateland South last Friday night and the music was great!
