A term used by Newfies to answer basically any question they’re asked. Usually not even listening to the question.
Person 1: “Hey there!”
Newfie: “Yes B’y!”
Person 1: “How you doing?”
Newfie: “Yes B’y!”
Person 1: “Want to fuck a horse?”
Newfie: “Yes B’y!”

Like soft yes, but slower and often used by politicians.
A decision that is decided with a slow yes.
Being slowly committed but not at the same time

A phrase said randomly, usually to call and obtain a response from someone else who is close enough to hear it.
Salt yes is also used when asked what it means. As a random and strange response. But, if people hear it, it can actually be kind of funny.
Guy one: “what does “salt yes mean?”
Guy two: “salt yes.”
Guy one *yelling* “SALT YES!”
Guy two *in response* “PEPPER NO!”
In a moment of pure exuberance and excitement, a person may be compelled to complete a sequence of cartwheels while exclaiming "Yes!" each time he or she is upside-down.
