Originaly a drum machine. Used in the Hip-Hop/Rap culture.
Now known as making beats with your mouth.
In 1985 an MC named Doug E. Fresh introduced to the world the first human Beat Box. He did a song called "La Di Da Di" where he made the beat with is mouth and MC Ricky D (later known as Slick Rick) did ryhmes over it. The song became classic and people even tried to beat box as good as him.
There hasn't really been a good beat boxer than Doug E. Fresh, but nowadays theres another beat boxer named Rahzel that likes to copy song with beat box and make them as sound as close as possible. He is very excellent at human beat boxing and human turntablism
There a song called "Flash is on the Beat Box" by Grandmaster Flash which he uses a beat box, meaning a drum machine.

Chris Pfaff, also known as 'Drama Beats' is a producer from Akron, Ohio. He is CEO and founder of the clothing line 'Young And Reckless'. He is also cousins with pro skater Rob Dyrdek. Drama stars in 'Rob and Big' and 'Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory' in most episodes.

1) verb: to beat the best of a certain job, sport, or any other competition. by doing this, that person would now become "the first". (note: this is practically impossible because chuck norris is the first at everything, and no one can beat him).
2) noun: a band from escondido, california that is known for their jaw dropping chord progressions, energy-packed live shows, sky high vocals, and their amazing ping pong skills.
(Kid to his friend) Hey man, i just beat the first!!!
(Chuck Norris comes in) Hey kid, no you didn't (Kid dies).

The Beat Happening is an Indie band that formed in the 80's. Their label is K Records. They're a band that many people turned to in a time of MTV's unfortunate popularity. Beat Happening were leaders in the Indie wave that many of us are all fond of nowadays. The band is from Olympia, WA. Characterized by Calvin Johnson's deep voice, rhythmic, yet not overdone guitar play, and beat producing drum playing, Beat Happening provides some good music for those of you that are just sick of listening to the force-fed shit that you get from MTV.
Good Beat Happening songs include: Cry for a Shadow, Indian Summer, Hot Chocolate Boy, You Turn Me On, Foggy Eyes....
