"Post-Trap" denotes a broad spectrum of active artists who saw success following Trap Rap's initial wave of underground popularity from the early 2000s to the mid 2010s. While technically proficient lyricists are not uncommon, performances are typically simplified and often centered around a singular hook, with autotune and reverb being used to enhance the music's atmospheric and melodic qualities. The application of autotune to the performer's voice in a pop context is an aesthetic choice largely borrowed from Kanye West and Kid Cudi's late 2000s output, whom many have cited as having a sizeable impact on their music.

Sniper posting is when you manage to reply just before someone else, therefore changing the meaning in the argument, or making someone else look stupid.
Pete: Your sister is so delicious
John: No, Andrew's sister is delicious
Andrew: I know, I got a taste of her yesterday
Pete: Nice sniper post, John.
In this example, John is writing his reply while Andrew is writing his, and posting milliseconds before Andrew. This is called sniper posting
