To Lesher (verb)

To Lesher is to speak with authority on 100% of a problem while only understanding <5% of the problem.

Leshering describes the actions of an incompetent, poor leader who is so completely misinformed and emboldened by the misinformation, they believe they're actually a smart and powerful leader.

TO LESHER (verb)

1) Dude, let's keep it simple and stop getting emotional. Don't lesher me. Let's calmly break down and discuss the actual facts of the matter!

2) That guy had no awareness, knowledge, or context of what he was talking about. He just got all blustery and began to lesher the hell out of everyone until we all got annoyed and tuned him out!

A + verb (no gerund)

Jamaican dialect usage

Origin

Old English pronoun + verb.

Eg.

We a-walking to school. Reminiscent of Shakespeare's stylistic poetry.

(Extract from an Appalachian English song)

On the Seventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me. Seven swans a-swimming, six geese a-laying.

(Extract from a nursery rhyme ca. 1905)
I saw the ship a-sailing, a-sailing on the sea, and oh!It was all laden, with pretty things for thee!

Influenced modern day Patois slang.

This usage fell into disuse in modern English and is now regional or dialectal. A similarity in usage can be noted in the European Portuguese language structure.
