call for the curve

To have a B.M. Like a catcher signaling a pitcher for the curve ball, you crouch and drop a number two.

Oh my, I'll be unavailable for the next 15 minutes, I have to call for the curve.

Curve Fodder

The population of students who increase the need for a curve or scale in a class, specifically due to poor grade performance.

The curve fodder primarily thrive in college environments, perhaps due to the abundance of chemical resources. However, they have been observed developing in earlier stages of education.

The creature can be identified by its notorious, wide-eyed and confused response when presented with a test, and can be found at the conclusion of the class frantically scratching down random work and answers as the instructor forcibly demands it from them.

The curve fodder is your ticket to a better grade, as long as they continue to do worse than you. Respect the curve fodder, as there will be inevitably a time at which you will find yourself a part of their collective.

"I just got back from that final, I heard 75% of the class didn't finish. Curve fodder ftw."

*notices someone's single digit score, announces "A WILD CURVE FODDER APPEARED"*

"Oh man... definitely was reppin the curve fodder on that last test. The guy next to me got twice my score."

Instructor: "Okay, times up..."
Curve fodder: *writing*
Instructor: "I need the tests..."
Curve fodder: *writing faster*
Instructor: "Tests now or you all get zeros"

Engineering Curve

Due to the inevitable sausage fest that is an engineering classroom, the few girls in the class are considered hotter than they typically are on a 10 point scale while the guys s appear uglier than they are. i.e. a girl's hotness rating rises as the girl/guy ratio gets worse.

The only girl in the class is a 2, but due to the engineering curve she's a 5 because we're all horny dudes.

Curved Swords

It is a catchphrase associated with town guards from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It becomes popular (meme) in a such way similar to the other known "Took an arrow in the knee", "Stop right there criminal scum!" and the "FUS RO DAH" meme. From the game, you can hear the dialogue when you interact with the NPC guards:

"You see those redguards from Hammerfell? They’ve got curved swords. Curved. Swords"

Hearing it over and over again, especially the last part where the NPCs emphasize the Curve Swords, makes it sounds funny yet somehow annoying to most players, until someone decided to troll over the internet using this sentence. Therefore being popular and well-known to the fellow internet users.

They used to take an arrow in the knee, but now they've got curved swords. Curved. Swords.
