EX

When used in all capital letters, and usually in the context of video games, "EX" can refer to a difficulty level, or something like "extra", meaning post-content stuff in a video game that is extremely difficult. For example, "Bloodbath EX" in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, or Boss EX 1 and 2 in Star Revenge 8 (A SM64 hack. Watch Patty's video on it.) It is typically a term used in Japanese games, but can also apply to non-Japanese games as well.

"Hey guys, wanna fight Soulseer EX in Monster Hunter?"
"Fuck no, that's impossible... We need all HBG."

Ex

A person who you dated at one point in time before said person (or you) decided to break up. Some people refer to this person as an ex-girlfriend or an ex-boyfriend or even ex-SO. They just depend on the person's gender.

Person A: OMG, is that my ex?

Person B: Oh no, it is! He was such a jerk.

Person C: I'm gonna go flirt with him!

ex-ex-gay

A gay (or lesbian) individual who tries through various means to become heterosexual, realizes they can not change their sexual orientation and ultimately comes out again as gay. These various means usually consist of ex-gay ministries, programs or therapy. Time spent trying to become heterosexual can range from months to decades.

When Daniel realized he had a homosexual orientation he saw an ex-gay therapist in an effort to become straight. After two years of therapy and repression Daniel gave it up and is now an ex-ex-gay.
