Income gap rap

Rap music made by people in the richest percentage of the country, far removed from the humble and poor beginnings of many of today's biggest stars. Coined by Hua Hsu in his review of Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne on the Grantland website.

Wow, Ye-Z went income gap rap on Watch the Throne while the real income gap in America is just increasing.

income-based medicine

n. A style of treating patients implicitly based on their social and financial status (be it by quality or lack of insurance, etc.).

ant. outcome-based medicine, of which this term is a parody.

When I was in the ER, I didn't have proof of insurance on me, so they asked me to make a deposit of $100... as if it were income-based medicine or something!

passive aggressive income

An income stream that was supposed to be easy but turns out to be hard work and difficult to extract money from due to reluctant or uncooperative people involved who try to avoid paying

My rental house is a great source of passive aggressive income; my tenants are 5 weeks behind on rent, yet they keep complaining and demanding I pay to fix little holes in the fly screens made by their cats, then the agent tried to double bill me for fees as well, I have to work so hard chasing this money that it doesn't seem worth it.

Single digit income

An income that's less than $ 10000 a year. What the major percentage of the United States working population earns for a living.

Your friend: Hey did you check out Rob's new ride? It's off the hook.
You: Yeah I did. What I can't figure out is how he can afford a brand new Cadillac with only a single digit income. You know he's a bagger at Wallmart, he must have something going on on the side.
