This term primarily is used to refer to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) as many of its college of engineering graduates and faculties have founded large successful technology companies such as Oracle, Tesla, AMD, Youtube, Paypal, and Yelp among others. Also known as the University of Waterloo. It is objectively one of the most prestigious schools in Canada, possibly even the world. This phrase comes from the fact that uWaterloo is better or equal to its American counterpart, MIT, in every way.
It is mainly known for its world renown ECE program.
