An acronym for Out Of Character
Commonly used in fanfiction to describe when a character acts in a way unusual to their personality, morals, beliefs, etc.
A/N: I know Basil acts a little OOC in this chapter but I couldn't think of any other way to progress the story :P sorry guys
When a person on an online chatroom such as Discord takes a screenshot of a message from another user without providing context, to make the other person look stupid, lewd, etc.
Person 1: When I was going to school yesterday, it was pouring outside
Person 1: I was dripping wet when I arrived
Person 2: Ha! Oocs!
Person 1: Screw you, man :(
A tone indicator showing that you are out-of-character. The opposite tone indicator would be /ic meaning in-character.
