In ancient times as well as today, Bong Shui,pronounced in English as Bongʃweɪ ("Bong shway"), was known as "Kan-Yu" which means 'Stoned or extremely high in The Law of Heaven and Earth.’ Today's Bong Shui schools teach that it is the ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve extreme highness or complete stonedness with harmony with the environment. Bong shui literally translates as "Inhaling pot through wind-water." This is a cultural shorthand taken from the following Movie Cheech and Chong by Guo Pu of the Jin Dynasty.

Once I shifted my couch according to the practice of Bong Shui, the afternoon sun was no longer a buzz kill.
