Springfield is an initially charming small-town with a seemingly endless amount of people who would give you the shirt off their back. However, the longer you live there, the more you begin to realize what an absolute shit hole it is. Kids habitually go to the Wal-Mart or empty fields for entertainment and the parents of said kids are either too self-involved to care or stuck in their own childish fantasies to realize their kids are throwing their lives away, just as they have.
One can remedy this condition by either moving out or killing themselves.
Ex. 1 - "Springfield, TN, home of the...what?"
Ex. 2 - "I moved out of Springfield, TN, now my life is worth living."

The most generic suburb you will ever have the misfortune of visiting. Located just outside Washington, DC. Springfield consists of strip malls, cheap apartments (primarily housing latino gang members), expensive hotels, the infamously ghetto Springfield Mall, and seemingly "nice" neighborhoods where old ramblers and new McMansions abound.
Don't be fooled my it's generic appearance though, most people residing in Springfield have done jail time or are engaged in illegal activities. When driving though this area I would recommend locking your doors.

A small city in Ohio known for violence and drugs. The south side of Springfield is very dangerous and ghetto. Springfield was once voted the worst city in Ohio.

Small boring town in New Jersey. There's nothing to do here. There are a lot of chill stoners and a lot of jewish people.
Person A: I'm bored, we should go to Springfield, NJ.

A large, "urban" shopping mall located in Springfield, Virginia. Has been gradually abandoned in recent years do to preference for Pentagon City and Tysons, which have been deemed "less ghetto" by the general public. Springfield Mall is famous for having a "Hot Topic" and "Taco Bell Express," 97 Auntie Anne's pretzel stands, and an extensive parking garage used for drug deals after closing.
People, notably white people, who admit to shopping at Springfield Mall are usually shunned by the Northern Virginian community. Common excuses are:
"S-Springfield?...I thought this was Tysons!"
or
"I must have forgotten to take my medicine."
or
"Its OK, I'm 1/32 hispanic"
Springfield Mall is generally safe to frequent before sundown. However, NEVER go on Friday nights. EVER.

Not to be confused with "central Springfield" or the Mixing Bowl side of town. Centered around the intersection of Rolling Road and Old Keene Mill Road.
West Springfield is cool.
