When information gets crammed into one's head in a very short period of time, only to be purged onto tests/quizzes. One can only hope some educational nuggets have been retained. Common in modular curriculum at vocational colleges.
That medical assistant program is totally bulimic learning. How do they expect us to know all that in six weeks?

When school systems are too lazy to let kids go back to school, and too lazy to even try to do virtual learning, they rely on "Asynchronous Learning" where they let the kids teach themselves.
Why is that kid dumb as fuck?

a way to get students to slowly fail at life is compared to getting a million paper cuts all over your foreskin and bathing in a bath of blue food dyed vodka while simultaneously grinding your teeth against a cheese grader as you listen to its everyday bro on constant repeat for ten hours

The most boring course you could take in all of school history.
Learning Strategies is a horrible course please get rid of it.
When a child encounters an explicit or adult topic or phrase they don't understand, and they ask an adult about it, or regurgitate it in some fashion. In stead of calmly explaining to the child the adult nature of the topic or phrase, the adult "blows up" and punishes the child for being inappropriate, often not explaining why it's inappropriate.
Landmine Learning example:
Child- "Mommy, what's a dildo?"
Adult- "What?? Where did you hear that!?"
Child- "From a kid at school..."
Adult- "I don't ever want to hear you say that again. Go to your room!!!"

This is often within a field in which one already had a strong interest, but may also include seemingly random facts or topics. Can take the form of watching a collection of videos, tutorials, seminars, listening to podcasts, or just browsing Wikipedia or Google Dictionary (now the 'define' keyword). Has some similarities to binge watching.
"I'm so tired. I was up binge learning until 2."
"Haha nice. Did you finish that project tho?"
"No but I could tell you all about alligator bone structures.."
