The Dead Weather

A blues/rock group consisting of Allison Mosshart, Jack White, Jack Lawrence, and Dean Fertita. One of very few bands still worth listening to. An unequivocal personification of Rock and Roll as well as indescribable bad ass-ness.

Hipster: "How do you like the new Arcade Fire album?"

Rocker: "I don't know... I can't stop listening to Sea of Cowards by the Dead Weather, you ignorant slut".

Kansas weather

Weather that changes quickly and dramatically from a time span of 2 days to 5 minutes. Typically happens in winter, but can happen in multiple seasons.

Jenni: I had to get sunscreen AND a winter coat in the same day!
Mick: Yeah, what's up with this Kansas weather?!?

Direct Weather

A misinformation specialist on YouTube who claims he is good at forecasting weather when in reality he has little deep understanding of the science of Meteorology and just provides bugs-bunny graphics and inaccurate forecasts to people who know even less than he does

That direct weather guy called for a historically severe weather season and it was one of the least active on record. What a bunch of BS. Plus wasnโ€™t he also forecasting a historically cold winter and it was one of the warmest ever?

Weather Report

A jazz band from the the '70s, Weather Report was made up of pianist Joe Zawinul and saxophonist Wayne Shorter, with a lot of others coming in and out in rotation. Some members that have gone through include the late great Jaco Pastorius, who was a virtuoso at bass. They went through a string of drummers, including Alphonse Mouzon, Eric Gravatt, Greg Errico, Leon 'Ndugu' Chancler, and Chester Thompson.

Oh yeah, and their album "Heavy Weather" fucking kicks!

Weather Report featured Jaco Pastorius, therefore Weather Report owns all.

under the weather

During the days when ships were powered by sail, the captains log documented everything that happended during the day. As sickness could spread rapidly on a ship, there were often times where the number of sailers that were ill exceeded the space provided in the log to record their names. During these times, the excess names of the sick were recorded in the next column, which was reserved for the weather conditions of the day. Thus, it was not unusal for an ill sailor to be listed "under the weather".

Don't get too close to Ahab, he is under the weather today.

kamikaze weather

Very cold weather, so named from the nasty nip in the air.

Fellow 1: Brrrr. It's bitterly cold out there, old bean.
Fellow 2: I couldn't agree more. It's definitely kamikaze weather. Wouldn't want to go out in it, that's for sure.
