Single girl energy

When you and your single friends are living it up every weekend and find any excuse to party and go wild.

Dang that girl Carol has been partying it up every weekend since summer started and it’s almost thanksgiving.. she definitely has that single girl energy.

socially single

You are single to everyone else except your partner. If you still have all of the elements of a serious relationship, physical and emotional and both partners know. If the relationship isn't socially exeptable or forbidden but the partners keep it secret, but still act the same.

" You cannot date him!!! " she still does. Means socially single.

socially single

Socially single is when you are single to everyone else except your partner. When a relationship isn't socially acceptable or bidden by others ( including or especially parents ) consent from both partners. Socially single is just like dating but no one know except you and your partner. It is not friends with benefits or fuck buddys . It still has all the qualities as a serious relationship.

Things prevent me from dating Colton but we still secretly do. I'm socially single.

Single Serving Neighbor

1. A single serving neighbor is someone who stays at a vacation rental near your permanent residents. You are neighbors with this person or people during their stay and then likely never see these them again.

2. Single serving neighbors are the neighbors you have while stay at a vacation rental and likely never interact with after you return home.

Derived from Fight Club's Single Serving Friend

My neighborhood is full of vacation rentals. All I have single serving neighbors. Here one week, gone the next.

We rented a house in an old neighborhood near the downtown area. Full of people's comings and goings. Is the guy at the end of the block a jerk? Are the kids across the street the sweet angels they seems? What is the woman next door's story? We'll never know. They are our single serving neighbors for the weekend and come Monday we'll never see them again.

single-strobe light-flick

Refers to a "consideration for sleepers" action whereby --- in order to briefly look at something from the doorway of a pitch-dark room in which you know that one or more other humans are seeking a little shut-eye --- you first open up your own eyelids extra-wide to allow yourself maximum visibility, and then perform a super-quick "on-off" action (one-half-second at the absolute maximum) with the room's light-switch, so that you are able to check on whatever you needed to know (such as that there is nothing on the floor between you and the sleeper's bed, and thus you can safely tiptoe forward in the dark and crawl in with the slumberer without tripping), but minimize the disturbance of the sleepy person(s) by not having the ceiling-lamp lit long enough for him to even be much aware of it.

Considerate dude who's staying overnight at his girlfriend's apartment: I always use the "single-strobe light-flick" prior to re-joining Tiffany in her bed after I visit the Little Boys' Room during the night, just to make sure that neither of her cats has decided to stretch itself out on the floor of the bedroom. It avoids any unexpected "yowls in the dark", plus Tiffany tells me that she seldom even notices my brief room-illuminations, so that's a good thing.
