logical Youtube dislike explanation

When a video on Youtube has over 1 million "likes" but a tiny few "dislikes" and no one knows why. so an explanation is given as to why this is so.

guy 1: hey man the video of Justin Beaver being hit with a water bottle has over a billion likes!

guy 2: awesome!! wait, 4 dislikes?

guy 1: how can that be?

guy 2: hmmm, probably the people who were going to hit the like button got hit with a bottle as well and caused them to hit the dislike button

guy 1: that's a logical youtube dislike explanation

Next level Mahoney logic

1) Over-thinking something to the degree that your eventual course of action is the exact opposite of the standard approach to a problem or solution
2) Self convincing that is designed to make your solution palatable, even if it contradicts well established protocols that are evidence based

Resident1: The patient has an abscess on his back and a blood sugar in the 300s but the attending decided that he wants to bring his blood sugar down before draining the infection, just in case

Resident2: Really? The elevated blood sugar is due to the infection. Draining it should reduce the blood sugar. And the attending wants to correct this first? Wow, that's some next level Mahoney logic.

illegality logic loop

A defect in ability to reason objectively and think abstractly, especially prevalent among politicians, bureaucrats, and other members of the establishment. Basically, it is the inability to compare 2 analogous things, when one of them is legal and the other is illegal. For example, comparing the harms of an illegal activity with a legal one, or taxes to extortion racket, or the government to the mafia.

The perfect example of the illegality logic loop: someone might claim,

“You can’t compare the harm of a legal activity with an illegal one.”

“Why not?” you would ask.

“Because one’s illegal.”

“Why is it illegal?”

“Because it’s harmful.”

“Don’t we need to compare the harms to determine if an activity should be illegal? …(long pause)… “You can’t compare the harm of a legal activity with an illegal one!”

Squid-Spider-People Logic

which can be applied to whenever Illuminati/conspiracy theory obsessed nutjobs try to be all intellectual while still upholding their obnoxious conspiracy theorist wannabe behavior.

"I am excluding you from the group because the Squid-Spider-People logic says so."

monty pythonesque application of the principles of logic and etymology

The standard logic used by such people as the knights of the round table. It's sound logic that can only be understood by men of science.

E.g. You want to test if a woman is a witch. You burn witches, but you also burn wood. This means witches burn because they are made of wood. Wood also floats in water, just like a duck. So therefore, if she weighs the same as a duck, then she is made out of wood, and is therefore a witch. Now you must weigh her on a set of large scales with a duck, and if they weigh the same, she is guilty of being a witch.

Well, Bernard, that is some Monty Pythonesque application of the principles of logic and etymology right there!
