what are ya selling?

When someone does not hear another, this can be used to ask what they said.

Bob: "Hey Jim, did you see the game?"
Jim: "Huh, what are ya selling?"

What the shit?!

A phrase or word is used to explain a given situation's unexplainable or randomness. It can be almost anything that takes away from a daily situation. Similar to "WTF," what the shit!? It is geared towards naming something absurdly random or out of place, funnily and comically or unexpected, and potentially negative or interfering.

Ex 1- You walk into a room, and someone you've never seen before rushes past you w/ a katana in a unicorn mask and slams the door behind you. "What the shit?!" You say as if you cannot explain the event that just unfolded.

Ex 2- You mind your business texting on your phone when you get added to a random group chat that spams you w/ back and forth trash talking and loads of memes that nearly make your phone shut down. You say, "What the shit?!" In awe of this random moment.

That's what grandma said

Similar to the phrase that's what she said except that it refers to an old grandma in an sexual comment.

Betty: I like being on top the most.

Shaun: That's what grandma said!
