Forde Memorial Cup

An annual road hockey tournament held in Whitby, Ontario, Canada that takes place entirely on one day near the end of June. It is very grueling, but much loved by its participants.

Man, I can't wait for the forde memorial cup this year; my team is totally gonna kick ass.

Ford Country Squire

An iconic American station wagon that was characterized by it's large size, comfort, towing power, and signature faux-wood panels meant to emulate Woodies from the 40s and 50s. It was the top-of-the line station wagon built by Ford from 1951 to 1991. It was based on the Fairlane, Galaxie, and LTD line over the course of its history. Country squires are highly collected, especially the classics that were made before the mid-70s. They are fairly hard to find today, despite being a common site in virtually every suburban town in America in the 60s and 70s.

The Country squire was always amongst the biggest, heaviest passenger cars of every model year. Their size reached a peak in the mid-70s. They were fitted with huge V8 engines ranging from a standard 351 windsor to a beastly 460 (7.5L) V8 that was the largest engine ever mass produced. The big engines were choked by emissions requirements starting in the early 70s and got atrocious gas milage.

(Disclaimer, I own a Country Squire, and I believe it to be the most badass car ever built.)

The Ford Country Squire is driven by the family in Harry and the Hendersons.

The O'Doyle Family from Billy Madison own a Ford Country Squire and drive it off a cliff toward the end of the movie.

The "Family Truckster" from National Lampoons Vacation is a heavily modified Country Squire.

Ford Model T

The first car to be mass produced. Came from the Henry Ford Motor Company, in which Henry Ford had stolen the idea of mass production from a Revolver Manufacturer.

The Model T was a bag of shit, but it started a worldwide revolution.

Spring-Ford Cops

The types of school police that are too afraid to stop the kids who have cocaine in the bathroom, so instead guard the cafeteria against food thieves.

Student 1: Help I'm being attacked! Where are all the Spring-Ford Cops?!
Student 2: They are all in the cafeteria, don't you remember that kid stole a pop-tart?

Australian ford forums

A poorly organised and over-moderated internet forum catering to any Ford vehicle that is not an E-series, owned buy a man of debatable intelligence who also owns a 300C. Go figure.

Complete opposite of Boosted E-series.

"Hey man, my mum went all Australian Ford Forums on me"

"You mean she kicked you out forever for no reason at all??"

"Yep..."

Ford Mustang II

The 2nd generation of the Mustang, built between 1974-1978. Designed by Lee Iacocca and based on the the subcompact Ford Pinto platform. It came in basic coupe form, hatchback, or the up scale "Ghia" which had a landau vinyl roof treatment. Engines offered were either a I4 or V6 engine, but a small-block V8 became an option in '75.

During the gas crisis, it sold well, mainly due to the demand of small cars. But this generation is known to Mustang fans as one of the least popular. Mainly due to cheap wimpy Pinto type styling and the lack of a good performace engine. The base coupe and Ghia models were boring looking. And Hatchback models tried to hard to look sporty, what with the "Stallion" or "Cobra" trim. They offered paint jobs with strips going down the hood, a blacked out grill, and lots of plastic body moldings. But in the end the car just looked tacky and overdone, and was all show and no go. Sales declined after '75 and a newer more popular Mustang design would appear in 1979.

One of the worst cars I've ever seen was a rusty 1976 Ford Mustang II "Ghia", painted in white but sporting a ghastly bright red landau vinyl roof, with a red interior.
