poser punk

This is more of an opinionated definition, so if you don't like it, don't read it.

Now, for all of these people saying that 'poser punks' are people who listen to bands such as 'Sum41' and 'Good Charlotte', etc, and also saying that being a real punk is being unique and pretty much having no guidelines to whatever they do, then why are these people saying that, although being a punk is being unique and having no guidelines, as well as not caring what other people think, then why are they making guidelines by saying that if you listen to a certain band, then you MUST be a 'poser punk'. Excuse my run on sentence if you will, I felt a need for all those commas. Anyways, so if you are trying to have no guidelines, and trying to be unique, it's not going to happen because people still seem to be making rules about being a punk, and not being a punk. Say if you wear safety pins on your hat? Does that make you a 'poser punk' just because you like to do this? Just by listening to a band such a 'Sum41', does that automatically make you a 'poser'? Personally, I don't think so. I think that whatever you want to do, you do it. If you want to be a punk so badly, then follow what you like, whether it be from the mainstream, or something that's entirely new. Thanks for your time, and have a nice day.

neo-punk

A neo-punk is more efficient form of punk. Instead of wasting time caring about how they-selves dress, and the currant punk fads(emo), they worry about the issues they believe in. e.g. abuse of authority, conforming to standard, etc. While fashion has little to do with there attitude, neo-punks tend to dress in a disguising manner,(Suites & Slacks) as if to infiltrate the "Standard" and infect from the inside out. Typically enjoying all types of music,(except that which is no the radio)and tend to enjoy underground music the best, finding that it has the same social detachment as they. Mostly very smart, they see through plot to standardize and suppress the masses.

punk rock is just not giving a fizzuck. and you can't really define it anyway, its different to everyone, because punk is something in everyone. and like who are you to say its wrong? brrt go fuck yourself. and good charlotte and stuff didn't "wreck" or "tarnish" punk, because you cant wreck it .. thats suggesting its replacing it, which is doesnt or can't. it's not like it can make it go away or anything. fuckers.
