Political Etch a sketch

To Change one position on Political issues after a politcal primary to make one's self image seem more politically moderate then where they stood when they ran for their politcal party's nomination (For Senate, Congress, President, Governor, ect). In essence it's to try to clear the board politically before battle their politcal opponent for a particular politcal office.

Made Famous by Mitt Romney's 2012 Presidential campaign when one of his campaign workers refereed to resetting Mitt Romney's public image after winning his party's Presidential nomination as using a Etch A Sketch

Candidate X had to take a hardline approach on immigration to make himself look more conservative then his primary opponent. Worried about his position on immigration making him look bad in the General Election, Candidate X proceeded to perform a Political Etch a sketch of his image.

political car-wreckness

Social political feel-good agendas which are fiscally unfeasible and unsustainable and which eventually destroy the good object from which the improvement is demanded.

Demands of political car-wreckness were made for car companies to comply with social or fictitious save-the-earth global warming standards to the point they went bankrupt.

Legitimate Political Discourse

A brawl, β€œdonnybrook,” fracas, or melee illegally initiated by benighted fools with less real teeth than fingers who are manipulated by an insecure man with an IQ of 60 and a micro-penis.

Don Jr: β€œDo you want to go to the One America News Network and hang out?”
Eric: β€œAre you sure? It sounds like Legitimate Political Discourse just waiting to happen.”

Flag-Pin Politics

Non-issues that clever politicians use to eclipse real issues.

The best example of Flag-Pin Politics would be to provide examples of things that followers of flag-pin politicians would say:

- "Obama isn't wearing a pin of the American flag - which was probably made in China! He isn't a Patriotβ„’ "

- "I really think I'm going to vote for George Bush, he wants to make homosexual marriages illegal"

- "I'm not sure who I'd vote for, Hillary or McCain, they both want to suspend the federal petrol-tax. They really look out for the common man."

corporo-political jackassery

The shenanigans that corporations play with disingenuous politicians, which place them in a higher position than the politician's individual constituents. These shenanigans may include contributions, lobbying, influence peddling, manipulation of regulatory environments, strong-arming, or other techniques, not unlike those of organized crime, but legitimized by a corporate presence, employed to create a favorable environment for the corporation and its shareholders mostly to the detriment of the individual constituents within the district served and the corporation's stakeholders. Often corporo-political jackassery exploits weak-minded people who respond to buzzwords and grossly oversimplified skeletal concepts they don't understand with militant activism in defense of the buzzword, despite the obvious detriment to the individual; i.e., "Obamacare."

A number of protections were enacted following the Great Depression to prevent our economy from tanking, however thanks to decades of corporo-political jackassery, most were deregulated and Wall Street was alloiwed to police itself. The end product left the U.S. with massive foreclosures, layoffs, and an exodus of industry which further eroded the middle class.

political-polly-parrot

Often pronounced with a parrot squawk at the end (rahahk)

Also known as a triple-P

A political-polly-parrot is a person who:
1. Espouses the same right-wing talking points on any media available.
2. Gets all of his or her opinions from right wing media–mostly television and radio.

Both types of triple-P’s repeat the same whole phrases.
For example, on health care every triple-P was crying:

β€œDon’t cram this bill down our throats.”

β€œWe have to start over.”

β€œReconciliation is a sleazy trick.”

β€œ...Death panels...”

β€œ...a plot to kill grandma ...”

β€œ...27-hundred page bill...”

Sue: The political-polly-parrots-rahahk have done every dirty trick in the book to tarantino health care; now they are whining about ordinary House and Senate rules.

Bill: Yeah, all they did on health care when they had total control of everything is to pass an unfunded medicare drug benefit with a donut hole big enough to swallow up both grandma and grandpa!
