A Group of kids that give Punk music a bad name. All they do is talk about how shitty our government is and talk shit on electronic music and sub genres especially dubstep.

In sailing days prior to steam engines, each ship leaving port would choose the ship's punk for that voyage. Women were not allowed on sailing ships in those days (as crew), but it was considered unhealthy to go too long without sexual release. Voyages often took weeks or months.
The ship's punk was chosen by lot, only the prior voyage's punk being exempt. Once chosen, that sailor's only duty was as cum bucket until the ship reached port again. He was to be available at any time for any crewman who desired to relieve his testicles of sperm build up. Generally, it was anal intercourse in such acts.
No particular emphasis on the title, though it was considered derogatory to be called the punk when it was not your turn. Since any man among the crew was in the lottery to become ship's punk, it was never wise to take insults or jokes about the punk too far. You never knew when the old punk was going to have a turn at the screwing the new punk.
To use the ship's punk did not make you homosexual in the modern sense. When in port, the majority of crewmen would happily make use of the prostitutes and women of the town. Considered a form of institutional/situational homosexuality only occurring during/in instances of enforced separation from women. It was also likely there were some bisexual and gay crewmen, just there are today.
The term 'punk' originates here, not with prisons, street slang, insult as an inferior male or with the music genre.
1) Captain: It's time for the lottery boys. Put your token in the bucket and I'll pick the new ship's punk.
2) Crewman: You're the ship's punk, so prepare to be boarded.

Well, "pop-punk", is a type of music that is dying right now, this is because there are many bands such as "son on dork" and mcfly who are trying to push their way into this discription. It is a catchy type of generic rock which produces huge record sales, so is very lucrtive to endorse. Usually three or four band memebers, two on vocals. Target audience 10 - 25 year olds. Uses simple but very effective riffs and chord combos. Feel good music. Summer music. from a broad prospective it can offend people who like slightly heavier music. this genre was created when punk rock was split into many different and new catagories in the late 90's. Usually the listeners and members of bands use toilet humer and sex jokes, this can be very funny at times, but now in 2006 has been milked and milked. Although many will be sad to see pop-punk bands starrt to disapear, it is a inevitable fact. soza guys.

Pop punk is a subgenre of punk played simplistically, but with good melodies. Lyrics have catchy hooks and are usually about love, alienaton, feeling insecure, or whatever the hell random thing the writer wants (Da Stike by Millencolin is about bowling).
Unfortunately, the genre is being ruined by MTV who are telling 14 year old girls that anyone who wears black and has emo-hair is punk. All of these bands are just posers who play watered down versions of the genre for personal gain.
Real pop punk is real punk. In fact, in a way, is more punk than many others because they don't try too hard to be punk. Good pop punk bands will write songs that are the antidote for heartache. Bad pop punk bands make heartache even worse (see emo)
Pop punk: Millencolin (personal fave), Screeching Weasel, Descendants, NOFX, Lagwagon, Rancid, Buzzcocks, Ramones, Blink 182 (Dude Ranch), Green Day (Kerplunk-Nimrod)
Not punk: Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Fall Out Boy, Yellowcard, All American Rejects, Sum 41 (even though I'll admit I like a couple of their songs)

- Currently employed by WWE and is a former World Champion.
- Rose to prominence in the summer of 2011 with a series of pseudo-shoot promos on WWE Raw and on You Tube (even if he was already a star long before then in WWE)
- Known to "stay in character" even when not wrestling.
- Claims he doesn't drink, smoke or do drugs. His straight-edge lifestyle is unusual and quite rare in the wrestling business.
- Has dated several women wrestlers including the current WWE Divas Champion, Beth Phoenix (as of Oct, 2011)
- Has been criticized for putting too much hype into his own stock.
