An indie-va is a pop diva for the indie set. Their music is usually a blend of pop, electro and grime. The success of these artists is predicated on their popularity on mp3 blogs like Sterogum and Fluxblog. M.I.A. and Annie are good examples.

no sense of self, only do and believe what other indie kids do and believe. they love "green" shit, but never do their research and don't really notice if it's made in Chinese sweat shops, they do it because its cool.

they wear vintage because it's cool, and try to look and be poor instead of being grateful that they are actually quite well off.
to see an indie kid move to Portland Oregon or find some secret underground band that no one knows about, then when the music is playing, just stand there.

Indy Face is a condition that arises from the age old practice of inbreeding in midwestern families. The inbreeding, a strict no-no both biologically and morally, causes facial distortions in offspring of brothers and sisters, dad's and daughters that have "done the nasty." Inbred offspring have very distinct, warped facial features not unlike those with down's syndrome. I see a lot of these kinds of people when I visit the midwest annually, mostly at car shows in Indiana.
We were at the car show the other day and saw this family walking around together. Their kid had a major league case of "Indy Face."

Even tho this band is abit tooo mainstreem for indie they tend to hold the flag for indies aroundthe uk (specialy the North !!)and as they said:

an independant child which bums music way to hard. Listens to indie music obviously.
Indie kids are:
girls- straight straight straight hair. head bands. clips. bright nail varnish. plastic jewellery etc. beads, rings bracelts, full of themselves.
boys- big hair, drain pipe jeans, white scruffy converse, loves music way to much. full of themselves

Indie Kids are essentially the anti-emo.The Indie Kid is at war with the emo because the scum of the earth stole our Converse and made it a symbol of being a twat who likes to take 20 million self shots in the bathroom while covering one of their eyes with their over conditioned hair. Unlike the rather good-looking shoe that it once was.
Another difference between Indie Kid's and Emo's is that we are usually happy, whereas an emo would probably be crying on his own in a dark corner. The main reason we stay happy is because our music does not tell us to slit our wrists or pile on the burdens of other people.
Indie Kids are called Indie Kids because of the music they listen to. Not because of the clothes they wear.
Indie is also it's own genre of music. Not a sub-genre of rock. Although many bands have chose to form cross-over genres.
Indie Kid: Just listened to some Pegasus Bridge. OMG those guys make me happy.
Emo: Just listened to My Chemical Romance. I might just go kill myself.
