An individual who believes in lower taxes, a smaller federal government and traditional values. A Republican is someone who feels that more power should belong to the states. This reflects the belief that individuals, business's and states should be responisble for themselves. They should have more freedom from the myriad of tough regulations imposed by the federal government. The primary role of the federal government should be to protect the country from foreign threats not the country from itself. Strong national defense is key. A Republican is also someone who favors free enterprise because competition between businesses is healthy and necessary. Republicans have a conservative approach in regards to economical issues. They also tend to be people of faith and pro-life. The pro-life stance manifests from the value of an individuals freedom from a restricting government. A life, be it unborn or not should be able to have the freedom and opportunity to live once it exists.

One of 2 major political parties in the USA. Typically more religious and conservative. Place high values on family, morals, and ethics. They believe in the "trickle down" effect, where by success of businesses in the economy distributes wealth to the working class. They are generally against high income taxes and support all of the bill of rights and constitutional amendments and believe that the right to free speech, and the right to keep and bare arms are as important as the rest.

The family values epitomized by far right polititians and pundits including (a) phone sex with subordinates, (b) prescription drug abuse, (c) republiporn such as Scooter Libby's novel about prepubescent girls being raped by bears or Lynne Cheney's novel about lesbian sex in the old west, (d) public uses of expletives and (e) underage drinking and drug use by sons and daughters.
Now that Tom was in the top 1% tax bracket, he could openly display his Republican family values by sharing his cocaine with his kid's babysitter.

The Republican Collective Mind has lost its mind; they're considering Mel Gibson to run against Arnold Schwartznegger for Governor of California because he could energize the Christian Base.

Politicians such as Reagan, Bush41,Bush43,Ashcroft etc. seem to think the U.S. Constitution is just Republican toilet paper. They have used the war on drugs and the war on terror as an excuse to take away basic basic constitutional rights. Some examples include the Patriot Act, warrantless wire taps, property seizures etc.

A term used to decribe young voters who supports many conservative and libertarian values. They believe in some Republican issues such as tax reform and opposition of hate crime legislation but have libertarian views such as free speech. Mainstream conservatives criticize South Park as being profane and crude, but the show mocks liberal issues and communicates with the Republican issues. South Park Republicans tend to be less religious than the traditional Republicans; they are more likely to share the same values with more moderate politican Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Dave from U.C. Berkley is a South Park Republican. He does not like the liberal protesters on his campus, but he collects Playboy magazines.
