electronic friendship

A friendship that is defined by communication ONLY via electronic devices. i.e. AIM, facebook, myspace, text messages, etc.
*phone calls may be an occasional part of an electronic friendship, however they are very uncommon.

Electronic friendships are typically found among high school or college students, who may even attend the same high school or college, yet choose to ignore one another in passing. The conversation remains smooth and concise via electronic devices, however face-to-face contact of any sort proves that a real friendship is truly not a possibility, and the awkward moments never cease to exist.

*an intimate relationship comprising of cyber sex and text message sex is not does not fall under the category of electronic friendship.

Joanne: You and CarlyBeth have such an electronic friendship. Do you two ever actually hang out?

Olivia: Umm, I dunno, I guess we both have our own cliques and neither of us want to stray from the norm that has been created for us.... you know?

power electronics

A form of experimental/industrial noise music distinguished from others by a semblance of rhythm and the presence of coherent vocals intended to carry a message. It is often used as an outlet for obsessions such as crime (as in the band Slogun, for example), and extreme political views; Thee Grey Wolves, for example, named themselves after a Turkish terrorist faction and convey an ostensibly anarchist message.

While the differences between standard experimental noise and power electronics are highly debatable, the differences usually include ones already stated, the types of noises used (e.g. "white noise" vs. "pink noise"), and the presence of themes in power electronics.

The origins may include, but are certainly not limited to, the famous self described "extreme electronic" group Whitehouse, who used their music as an outlet for their interest in mass murder, dictatorship, sexual violence, etc. , and early {Industrial band SPK, who proposed, in one of their "dokuments," that noise could be used to induce sensory and mental information overload to break down everyday rational modes of thought and lead the listener to new experiences and possibilities in thought.

1.The band Con-Dom uses its power electronics to explore the themes of CONtrol and DOMination in various dimensions of human experience.

2. The band Genocide Organ uses its power electronics to convey an intentionally unclear message about Germany in a geopolitical context.

Electronic Arts

A crappy videogame company who's only good games were the old Medal of Honor games and Dead Space.

But then again, they combined too much Doom and Resident Evil in Dead Space to the point where some people never wanted to buy it.

Hey Joe, wanna go get Battlefield: Bad Company?

Nope.

Why not?

EA made it.

Oh. How about Mercenaries 2?

Nope.

Why not?

EA made it.

Oh. How about the Godfather II?

Nope.

Why not?

Because fucking EA made it!!!!

Screw Electronic Arts.

Electronic Hangover

that late night crashing feeling one gets after pulling too many all-nighters staring at the computer screen. Symptoms include pounding headache, nausea, and dizziness, as well as mild hallucinations induced by the many colors constantly flashing from the screen. Also associated with video gaming, and often accompanied by dehydration brought on by excess consumption of energy drinks.
