guerrilla poetry

Poetry readings and recitals done, usually of only one or two poems and by a small group or solo poet, in a public place previously unprepared for the "attack". Originally defined by poets William F. DeVault (the Amomancer) and Daniel S. McTaggart and framed in McTaggart's poem "Guerrilla Poetry".

Two young women walk into a Starbucks, one distracts the barrista while the other whips out a book, chants the words of "Ozymandias of Egypt" in her guerrilla poetry attack on the crowd and then they are both gone into the morning chaos.

bad poetry

the international language of emos.

John:
"My blood runs thickly from my tearducts
just as the knife runs down the thick streets of my veins
I bleed
My life is nothing

abuse survivor
but I survive no longer"
Jane: "He means 'hello.' Don't mind him, he's emo, he only speaks 'bad poetry'.
Regular people: "Ah, Emo."

A particularly inspired kind of verse written in colourful magnetic letters. Usually found on a fridge or other electrical white goods found in the kitchen. Usually composed in the early hours of the morning while under the influence of copious amounts of alcohol.

Magnetic Poetry

1. Noun. A cheap metal board with several cheap magnets scattered all over it with simple to 'witty' words such as slather. Used to make poetry, or sexual innuendos
2. What dirty, smelly pot smoking hippies chant off and expect everyone to think they are original.

Bob: Dude, check out the board. Pure Magnetic Poetry.
Richard: "Girl...mouth...ed...plump...popsicle"?

Hippy: I thought over, about, solitary peach moon who floop as giggle.
Stoner: Word.
