jimi hendrix

The greatest guitarist of all time. He changed the way the world looked at music, he changed the way I look at music. He inspired me to play guitar, as he has with many other people. I know i will never be as good at guitar as Jimi was, I probably won't be half as good as he was, but at least I can aim for 1/4 of his skill. God took away from this world what he gave this world, a god among us. If god was black, Jimi Hendrixs would be his son. Jimi is still alive, in our hearts, and in our souls. He will be remembered untill the end of the world as the man who changed it, made it better.

God needed a guitarist, so he took a god.
Fly on little wing.
Jimi Hendrix is immortal.

Jimi Hendrix

One of the greatest guitarists of our time and as aptly pointed out by Brittany R. the man who helped free the slaves.

History Channel Voiceover: The year was 1864. The Union trooops had almost defeated the Confederates in their battle to free the slaves. The absolute final turning point was when a black man dressed in phychedelic clothing and somehow having an electric guitar did something amazing.

Jimi:(Singing and playing his wicked licks)Purple haze all in my brain. Living things just don't seem the same. Acting funny but I don't know why. Scuse me while I kiss the sky.

History Channel Dude: Thanks to the amazing rendition of this and other now classic Hendrix tunes, the slaveowners were so distracted in amazement that they didn't bother watching all of their slaves escaping toward the North. Thanks to this, Jimi became known the world over as the man who helped free the slaves and whose clone played the same great music in the 60's. We thank you Jimi. Rock on, dude.

jimi hendrix

One of the four apostles of Black Music:
Jimi Hendrix; James Brown; Sly Stone; and George Clinton. Jimi Hendrix played for James Brown before he went out on his own.

Lyrics: I didn't mean to take up all you sweet time, I'd give it right back one of these days.

I didn't mean to take up all you sweet time, I'd give it right back one of these days.

If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll see you in the next and don't be late, don't be late.

jimi hendrix

The most amazing guitarist of this or any other generation. He was inventive, incredibly talented, and probably the coolest guy ever. Only Zeppelin can challenge him as a great rock act. His great riffs and lyrics brought rock into its age. He was at Monterey and Woodstock, where his perfromance of the Spar Spangled Banner made him a legend. Jimi Hendrix was more than a man, he was a god.

Jimi Hendrix is dead. :(
