Western Validation: Verb: To promote a globally successful artist/artists in a xenophobic industry. Sometimes through collaborations with lesser know Western performers that cater to the lowest common denominator of taste and appreciation.
Results can be mixed, with the artist/artists genuine talent often being obscured by fans over compensating for the collaboration with undeserved exaggerated hype and hysteria.

The validation theory is when person "A" has a habitual habit of falling for another person's "significant other". The tendency actually is a way for person "A" to validate the "significant other's" way of being while in a relationship. The way the "significant other" loves, gives, jokes, reacts... are all validations and also a quick way to find out if "significant other" is worthy material. There are many synonyms for this kind of person... but I believe the "Validation Theory" is an explanation of why they do it - more than a term used for the person.
Katie and John argue a lot... he's such a dick to her. She's so pretty and sweet. She's always doing things for him.. and he said he doesn't even have sex with her anymore... she's the ideal girl. A category of women who are not good for relationships. These women genuinely have low self esteem, and can't love themselves without having a man around them. They are also the type to post half naked selfies on Instagram because they think they are so ugly, that they need to be naked in order to get attention from males.

That girl is exhibiting validation seeking behavior by posting half-naked selfies on Instagram all day.
No one knows what it means. But, it's provocative... it gets the people going.
