When two people have a crush on each other but don't admit it and continue to speak to each other as close friends. Could also be a connotation for "just friends".
person 1 : yeah I just were having emotional bants

1. A ham that has rotted so badly that even flies cannot eat it. Maggots inside will die, and it has to be burned to get rid of it.

Captain Bants: Someone that has organised an activity involving friends that are unfamiliar with each other. this person is the link between all people present. this person is often the most knowledgeable, experienced, familiar with the activity or location of the activity. It is this persons responsibility to set the tone and pace not only of the activity but the banter as well. Example, Best man on stag do.
Captain Bants must lead by example if the stag do is going to be a success.
Someone who does not partake in banter; someone who is no fun, preferring to stay in/work rather than going out with mates
Guy 1: "Mate you comin' out tonight?"
