celebrity

The definition of celebrity seems to always be in a sea of change. Why not, celebrities are like waves, they rise and fall, they come and go. Some are dropping dead like flies. Need I name just a few over the past few years? Robin Williams Chris Farley Alan Rickman Patty Duke It used to be you just needed to be famous to be a celebrity.

Nowadays you need to be super famous like Elon Musk to be a true celebrity. You can be famous for good or bad, but fame is a form of currency that allows you to trade up on your name. Donald Trump has listed his name Trump on his financial statement as being worth $3 Billion. Nice form of currency if you can create it.

Most people become celebrities like Henry Ford because they make things. Other people like Adolf Hitler become celebrities because there are still people in the world who celebrate Hitler's birthday.

Celebrity comes from celebrate which means to "cause attention upon" "heap praise on", or bring a gathering together for a cause or personality. It comes from Latin Latin celebrātus, past participle of celebrāre to crowd, celebrate, derivative of celeber much frequented, famed.

If you get 13 people in a room and cause 12 people to pay attention to, and only focus on 1, that One is the Celebrity. It only takes 6 people promoting one person or cause to make a celebrity in modern social networking society.

"Alex S. Gabor is a celebrity because he represents the worlds greatest living banker trillionaire extraordinaire @AlexXGabor "

Pseudo Celebrity

A pseudo celebrity is someone who has become famous without having done anything to deserve it, they are the wasters, the drones and parasites of humanity. Having achieved nothing worthwhile, they are best described as the liggers and Kim Kardashians of this world, the braindead youtubers, talentless and lacking any sort of distinction. They are the self-centred and egotistical nonentities for whom princess syndrome is a way of life. The only reason they are celebrities is because they have more egotisticalbullshit than normal people, they are pseuds, thus pseudo celebrities.

Is the rise of the pseudo celebrity a sign that the human race has gone to rat shit?
