Convenience Whore

This is the girl you only see when money's a little tight. She wears jeans, sneakers, and tee shirts 24-7 and loves Long John Silver's as much as you do.

Connor: Sup tonight T-Bone? Big weekend?
T-Bone: Nah man... I don't get paid until the 15th... probably just gonna hit up the convenience whore.
Connor: Word

conveniently black

Fair-skinned African-Americans or ones who are mixed who try to pass for an ethnicity other than African-American when it benefits them socially or professionally, but then surround themselves with African-Americans to look down and fly, also to their advantage.

Yeah, I know Tyshawn. He's one of those brothers who only hangs with the brothers when no one is looking. He's conveniently black, he spends most of his time with the white kids and says he's Samoan.

Friend Of Convenience - FOC

Someone who treats you only as a "friend" when it is convenient for them.

The type of friend who only calls when they need (money, help, support, advice, etc.) but are never there to help or give it back to you.

They are the type of friend who will want to hang out with you when they are bored and have nothing else to do and have nobody else to hang out with. But, as soon as another opportunity arrives they will leave and not talk to you until they need you again.
Typically a very self-centered type of person who only truly cares about themselves.

When the person treating you as an Friend Of Convenience - FOC needs something:

Amanda: "Hey Dave, I'm having problems with my family, can I come over and hang out for a while?"
Dave: "Sure, I'm always here for you."

---

When you ask the person treating you like an "FOC" for the same thing in return, but they are feeling good about themselves already and don't "need" you:

Dave: "Hey Amanda, I really had a bad day, my girlfriend left me and I got fired can I come hang-out?"

Amanda: "Um... yeah not right now I'm kind of busy.. I'll call you later" (Actually she was doing nothing but a crossword puzzle, and never calls you back)

---
When you know you're friend is treating you as an "FOC"

"Hey Dave, what's up with Amanda? She never seems to hang out unless she's having problems or needs something from you. "
"Yeah i know, I'm just her FOC, and I'm pretty tired of being used by her!"

oh-so-convenient

(adjective)

Used to describe anything so convenient at the current time that it defeats the purpose of trying to figure out why it just happened to be there.

As the burglar neared ever closer, Amy grabbed the oh-so-convenient letter opener that for some reason was taped against the wall she was backed up on. Then, she stabbed wildly at him, and he fell to the floor.
With a grin stretching across her face, she drags the body to the well in her backyard (wtf?!) and pushes him in. It was then that we realize that that was no burgler โ€”โ€” that was another of her victims.

"Really? Sick with what?"
"Convenient sickness disease."

Convenient News Network

The Convenient News Network (or CNN,) is the news channel on TV that everybody in movies watches because it always reports on exactly the thing you want to know about. This phrase was coined by Cleolinda Jones who writes the m15m livejournal.

Famous Actor: "Somebody just told me about some vague interesting thing that's important to the plot, I better turn to the Convenient News Network to find out more, because I just know that's what they'll be talking about when I turn on the TV, which, of course, is already on the exact channel I was going to watch anyway."
