Get off the song

A term used to tell someone to stop interupting a good song you are listening to with pointless jabbering.

Radio: She walked up to me and she asked me to dance
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice
She said Lola, L-O-L-A, Lol---

Person 1: Hey, in the Sixth Sense dont you think that Bruce Willis would have realized that he was dead sooner?

Person 2: (turns up volume)

Radio: Lola, L-O--

Person 1: (louder) Because I mean he had been dead for like eight months or something in the movie, Dont you think he would realize that nobody except an eight year old child has even acknowledged him in the past few months? And another thing----

Person 2: Hey, Hey! Will you get off the song for a minute? I'm pretty sure this conversation can wait.

get off at redfern

As above, however the origin of this saying is easy to trace. On the train line to the city in sydney, one of the last stops before the city is at a suburb called redfern. Thus, when you get off at redfern, you're exiting the train before getting to the main part, the city.

Has the same meaning as Abdominal Snowman

"Did you wear rubber?"

"Nah mate, just got off at redfern"

gets off at Redfern

Get off the cross

Get off the cross is a way of telling people off for presenting themselves as the victim or how bad things are.

It was also the debut album of the band Firewater.

"I'm telling you man I'm doin' all the work around here and everybody hates me for it!"

"Get off the cross dude, you're not the only who has chores."
