n. A person who displays aggression towards homosexuals, and who are usually under the misconception that being gay is dirty, or is it a sin. These people are described as being intolerant, narrow-minded and ignorant retards.

Contrary to popular belief, the actual meaning of the term homophobe is a man who don't fancy the idea of having sex with another man.
That's perfectly normal, heterosexuals are born with it. To make it simple: omophobe=heterosexual.
It's commonly misused to label people who refuse to join gay parades.
It's also misused to describe bigots who persecute gays for their sexual beliefs.
A normal homophobe (heterosexual) doesn't hate gay people, he just doesn't want to be one of them.

A homophobe is a person who makes every effort NOT to drop the soap in the prison shower. He does have a "phobia" of the "homo" standing behind him waiting for the soap to drop.

Fear of homosexuals or homosexuality. This word is commonly misused to denote someone who dislikes or disapproves of gay people. The correct term for someone who feels obligated to form a disapproval of another human's inborn characteristics is bigot. See also asshat.

Anyone fearing or hating gay people. Gay people should have the right to get married, just so they can feel the same misery every married couple feels (if it is not a happy marriage).
