India word came from chain of mispronunciation from Invaders.
A land of SINDH, whose name came from River Sindhu which was pronunciated by Persian as Indu, Greeks called river as Indus instead of Sindhu. European started looking for land called as Indie, later named Caribbean island as West Indies. Called Hind Ocean as Indian Ocean, island country as Indonesia. Britisher started calling land of Sindh as India which by Muslim Invaders called as Land of Hind.
When Ummaiyad Caliphat happen, they invaded south asian land of SINDH. Ummaiyad mispronounce it as HIND. People of land were Called SINDHI, but they mispronounced it as HINDI and people living there as HINDU.
When land route to India from EUrope was blocked by Ottoman empire for few hundred years, European country started searching for sea route to Indie, mainly for cotton, masala, diamonds & gold business. Instead of finding Indie, Columbus, reached to Americas, Caribbean. Later when they found out it’s not indie land, they named it as WEST INDIE. Vascod Gama, went to East and reach Eastern part of Africa where he found Gujarati sea merchant, who took him to Bengal port, that’s how first European found sea route to Indie. After that Britisher, East india Company, came in 1600, started doing business with India till 1748. East India company gave military help to a Bengal King and that king gave land to Britisher in Gift and Britisher one by one and took control of entire south asian by 1850.

India is a very smart and ambitious woman. She’s very strong minded and doesn’t take shit from anyone. Do her wrong and she will do you wrong ten times worse. She may look nice but she can be the most feistiest female on this Planet. Her smile is bigger than the universe itself. She’s the goofiest person you’ve ever met. And so what if she not girly? Currently the world's largest democracy. Despite the world's narrow outlook on India, its economy is flourishing, and has surpassed the United States'; and it is now beating China's. India is a culturally (and spiritually) rich and diverse land full of open-minded and intelligent individuals, but because of the increase in population these good qualities are often overlooked by the media and by others.

.. or so they say. India has its share of cheerleaders and apologists the world over, all praising this nation as the next superpower and savior of the next millenium. All this flies in the face of intelligent thought. India is a backward state that is void of anything remotely democratic. India has a caste system thats widely practiced, from the political sphere, to economic and social life. Rendering any notion of a India being a democratic state irrelevant and farcical. India moreover has the world's largest illiterate population. For all the outsourcing and jobs that end up in India, the vast majority are labor occupations that a handicapped chimpanzee could do, this outsourcing is falsely portrayed by Indians and their supporters as evidence of India's growing literate and capable populace.
In reference to Pakistan, India has an army ten times the size of its opponent, its annual defence expenditure dwarfs that of Pakistan, its European and American support would in any other universe ensure that India could at any moment walk all over Pakistan and teach its people a lesson in Hindi chutzpah. This however, isnt the case. India for all its might is unable to punish the Pakistanis militarily. It is unable to secure a little province known as Kashmir from the Pakistanis who routinely send in guerillas to devastate the Indian military.
India for all its claim to significance is as irrelevant as Fiji. India's claim to historical relevance was fashioned first by the Arabs, then the European invaders. India is entitled to bask in its morally void caste system as long as they continue to persecute and burn Muslims, anything to satisfy their Republican - see Nazi donors in America and Europe.
India will someday be the worlds largest democracy, but not as long as the caste system exists among its people.
