OC

Original character, usually used as a fanfic or roleplay term to mean a non-canon character made up by the author or roleplayer.
Mostly either a from of the creator themselves, or someone else they made up and are usually beautiful and/or powerful.

1 (fanfiction) Most OCs wreak stories when they are centered around them, simply because no one cares about a character that someone else made up. Also, OCs are usually paired with whomever the author happens to have a crush on. Usually, OCs are unoriginal, and people get bored of them. OCs as background or semi-main characters in a story can make it good, though, if the author knows how and when to use them.

2 (roleplay) Roleplay with OCs can be fun, especially if it's an all OC forum. but if there are too many OCs on a canon forum, then it can be annoying. Especially if there is a person obsessed with their OC

Her writing style is so good, I would love her stories if her OC wasn't in all of them.

All of his story's are all about his OC.

If they're were not so many stories with OCs, then good fanfiction would be easier to find.

That story was so good. Sure, it had OCs, but they weren't the main characters and really helped the plot.

There's this one girl in roleplay who's obsessed with her OC, and she ruins it for us all.

OC

Someone who, whether conscious of it or not, is living a life similar to those on the television show, The OC. It is a derogatory term for those who are living (or attempting to live) the 'high life.' This person is loosely reminiscent of a prep.

Son: I'm thinkin' of gettin' one of those mp3 players
Father: Well-
Son: But I don't want an Ipod 'cause I don't wanna be an OC
Father: I'm proud of you son

OC

Abbreviation of "Out of Country"; commonly used when being less than inconspicuous with persons whom one trusts, to describe a trip out of the country to pick up copious amounts of illicit drugs for retail sale in the home country, or simply to secure a connect or a business arrangement; more specific than OT (Out of Town), since the aforementioned term can describe a trip out of one's city of residence to another city, state, or country, whereas "OC" literally means crossing international borders.

I'm gonna be OC for a week on something, we can deal with this when I get back.

DEA Investigator: Where is Mr. Barksdale?
Snitch: He just went OC yesterday, he'll probably be a few weeks.

The OC

A show that is horrifically innacurate and contains mind-numbingly bad acting, yet is shockingly entertaining every week. All the people who hate on the OC are wannabe non-conformists who rebel against anything "mainstream" and go slit their wrists at night. Stop trying to be cool. We all know you secretly watch it.

Non-Conformist: How can you watch that piece of trash show the OC! It has blonde people and ample amounts of cleavge so I must rebel against it!

Me: Oh ya. It was pretty cool when Seth and Zack had a fight last episode

Non-Conformist: OMG! Ya totally I was so shocked, I mean-...uh, I don't watch that. *sigh*

OC

An overly used term to describe the county "Orange County" located in the southern part of California between Los Angelos and San Diego. "OC" is indeed overrated, I live here and its nothing like how it is depicted in the show "the OC". I work for every penny I have, I live in a 1/5 acre house, hot girls aren't around every corner, not everyone is blond, there is a huge infestation of Bro's, Emo's and boarder hoppers, Every Home Depot has at least 5 poses of illegal Mexicans looking for labor, Not everyone surfs because you cant surf without wearing a wet suit because the beaches are cold, and full of trash and tourists... Not that I'm complaining, it just bothers my that people say "the OC" instead of OC. Because its not really that special, just the weather is nice.

Oh, and if you want to see Exactly how big of a house I have, google earth search "Orange Rounty Rossmoor"

OC used to be a fun place to live, but the show "the OC" ruined everything, because now everyone wants to come here just to be disappointed. And then they leave their trash behind on all of our beaches.
