A person who may or may not have a professional medical license that works in lower income neighborhoods. Usually working out of their own home, a Hood Doctor takes in injured people who either can’t afford expensive hospital bills or need to be treated but cannot risk getting attention from the law. These Hood Doctors can perform a variety of things, surgeries, prescriptions, and even embalming; it is always good to get to know you’re Hood Doctor.
Person 1: Marcus got pulled up on last night.
Person 2: Damn, did you take him to the hospital?
Person 1: I mean the mans got like 2 warrants, so we had to take him to the Hood Doctor.

1. :- This life may be deemed "tough" if said person has experienced socio-economic difficulties (with or without) health-related misfortunes along with loss/death/abandonment from a biological Parent or Relative. In short, if you have ever experienced any difficulty in your life and still find the power (within yourself) to push forward for the greater good, you are actively participating in "Hood Work".

Paul: "Man I'm hella tired. I've just been working my shit job and studying all day so I can leave this fuckin city. It's boring and tough but I don't see any other way."
